Who are we?
We are JB Security Systems Limited. A company based in Twyford, Berkshire. We supply and install Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Security Lighting and Fire Alarms to residential and commercial customers. We value our customer data and keep it safe.
What data do we collect?
We collect and store our customers names, address, phone number and email address. If contacting us through social media, we will have social media details. We store details of the product we have serviced and /or installed.
Where do we store the data?
All our customer data is stored on a data base, emails, documents, engineer reports and backups.
How do we protect the customer data we have?
All the data we have is protected by passwords, limited access and databases.
How long do we plan to keep the data?
We plan to keep our customer data for 10 years. Once a customer has gone 10 years without any contact, their data will then be removed.
Do we have a function/reason for every piece of data we collect?
Yes. If we have installed a product you have 12 months warranty. After 12 months, we will contact you to offer you a maintenance contract/agreement. If we do not hear from you, we will contact you again approximately 18months post install/last visit. If we still don’t have a response from you, we will not make any further contact. We keep data, so we can inform you when your system is due a service/maintenance contract.
How we contact you?
When we contact you it will be via email, post, phone call or social media. If you would not like us to contact you please send an email to louise@jb-security.co.uk
Why would we contact you?
We would contact you to inform you that your system is due its annual service; if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to tell you about stuff you have asked us about; to check our records are correct and to check every now and then that you are happy and satisfied. We do not rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
What is the process if someone asks to be removed from our records?
Under the GDPA the data subject has the right to access and amend any of their personal data that we hold. Please email your request to louise@jbsecurity-co.uk Louise will then check the records and delete accordingly. Once the request has been made JB Security Systems have one month to carry this out.
